DAR Winners

darwinners

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) hold an annual Art, poem, and essay contest based on a significant historical event. This year’s theme:  The 100th Anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Rise and Shine for Duty, Honor, and Patriotism.  For the past 15years I have been submitting Cushing student work for this competition. Every year we have been blessed with local winners, state winners, and even national winners. All winners are honored at a luncheon and award ceremony, at SFA, provided be the local DAR chapter. This year we have 21 winners!! All placed 1st locally and placed in the state competition. The state winners are now competing nationally.  I am incredibly proud of these students and their creative accomplishments.
